Tips for having a great barbecue:

1.  Make sure you have enough fuel on hand! Is that gas tank full? Got enough charcoal? There's nothing worse than running out of fuel in middle of your barbecue.

2.  Clean that grill! The best time to clean your grill is while it's hot. After you're finished grilling, give it a good brushing with a wire brush. The next time you fire up the grill, your food won't be as prone to stick, and you'll reduce off-flavors from burnt on residue.

3.  Don't skimp on the ice – it's important to keep your salads cold, for food safety. .
